  • An elderly bat has been rescued after clinging to a bar for three days during a storm. The bat, who has since been named Bea Arthur, was discovered clinging to a metal fence in Gilbertsville, Pennsylvania by a passerby. The poor old girl was hanging on for three days,? explained Stephanie Stronsick, founder and executive director of Pennsylvania Bat Rescue. She was found by the homeowner, who messaged us on Facebook after finding her hanging out in the open, exposed to predators and soaking wet from the previous night s storm.?
